Remember Larry and Moe?

Here's Curly!

That is the only photo I got of Larry at the show, and I haven't had a chance to watch our tests on DVD yet. I know it's not going to be pretty; Larry was sure there was a horse-eating tiger at the end of the arena where the judge was sitting and he wouldn't go near there in the first test and was very wary about it in the second test. But apparently when he wasn't shying and spinning we did okay, because we ended up with scores in the 60s – much to my surprise!

When he got home, Larry was rewarded with some time out on pasture. Can you see why the judge called him a "her" on our score sheet? (He is a pretty boy!)   :-)

Congratulations on your first show with Larry. Muppet's first show the judge sat in a horse trailer, we did airs above the ground at x after our halt :-) well done on your results anyway, and good luck at your next one. We have our first show this Sunday, I am too lazy to braid, but will try my best to get Muppet looking sparkly white!

Shula, the way I braid is pretty quick and easy, and even quicker and easier to remove! I thought about taking some photos of the process Sunday, but didn't know if there would be any interest in it.

After watching your spinning over the last couple of years, you'd better believe we'd want to see your perfect braids! :-D

I wouldn't call my braid jobs perfect, but it's certainly satisfactory and it's not like the judge ever gets a good, stationary look at it! ;-)

I'd appreciate it if you did post it :-)

He (she) IS pretty! :-) Love how his mane was all curled from the braids... and the pictures in the older posts really show how nicely he has filled out since coming to you.

Well done!
I'll send pictures to your email in a few moments.

I'll try to put together a photo tutorial with Larry's help. It's supposed to rain most of the week, so maybe I can get it done when I can't ride!

Michelle - congrats on your first show with Larry. I don't know anything about the scoring, but you both looked beautiful! I wish he had cooperated better with you this first time out, but I suppose, like anything else, it's a learning process. Even my untrained eye can see how much better, stronger and healthier he looks in the short time he's been in your capable and loving care :-)
