What glorious weather we are having – such a nice break from dodging raindrops!
I rode Horton this afternoon. He was sticky and snotty for quite a long time, but I finally managed to get him past it and ended with some very nice canter work. He might have been protesting the flash attachment (I added it back to the bridle at Julie's suggestion), even though it was very loose – or he could have just been having one of those days. Interestingly, he pooped under saddle today....
Rick and Brian started stripping stalls while I rode, so when I was done with Horton they turned Ollie and Breezy out. Horse "TV" for Horton!

LOL! Did Ollie ever take his show out of the corner? We're having better weather too, although no riding with 30 inches of snow on the ground.
Yeah, Ollie ran around the whole arena (as did Breezy before he was turned out); I wasn't ready with the camera to catch the initial explosions!
Your weather looks gorgeous! I don't know about Ollie and Breezy...are they your horses? Nice! Do you have pasture out there, or just ring turnout? Horton is looking great.
Happy New Year!
Lori, we have three other horses besides Horton (and Lance) – my husband's old, retired cutting horse Sammy, Brian's pony Breezy, and Oliver (Ollie). Brian claims Ollie; he was given to us years ago by a client of Rick's who was going to put him down because of OCD and other problems. Rick thought he'd would make a good mount for Brian, but Ollie has a "unique" mind (I chalk it up to being line bred on Smart Little Lena) and will never be a safe, dependable mount. Rick rides him on our horse-camping trips.
