This is the part of animal caretaking that I just hate. It's just so hard having to let them go, they're part of our families. And, this was never a part of the plan. Bye Sammy. Beans. :) RIP
Please give Rick a hug for me. He's pretty quiet today...

So hard to let the good ones go. But we owe it to them, they have earned a peaceful passing. Hugs & tears.

Oh Michelle and Rick, I am so sorry too.
Horses live a good long time, but it is never enough. A salute to Sam and hugs to you both.

It's hard to make that decision. However, I think it's part of the bargin we make when we get them that we will watch out for their welfare, and when it's no longer a good life for them, let them pass on to the next stage. Doesn't make it any easier, but it's the price we pay for love.
